The comic book was quite good (not the best from Miller anyway), I seriously doubt about the interest of the movie.

Not for the stylized over-the-top gore scenes, the thousands of liters of blood, the chopped bodies. Not for the glorification of superhuman warriors and combat moral values (which is the main criticism I already had towards the comic book). No, all this will only scare little girls. But gosh! All this men fighting in underwears and red capes, and looking so serious. And this Big Black guy coming out of a bondage movie, being being this greek man, putting is two hands on his shoulders, whispering about showing one's strength, and with lines like "it's not the whip they fear" or "kneel before me". I almost cried ;D |

I do not know if Departed is so old a movie....but i saw it a couple of weeks back. I think Jack Nicholson was awesome. He makes a good villain as any. i loved teh scene where he throws angel dust on his gf for the otehr girl in the threesome!
Me saying this during office hours makes me a criminal. I know!

But its a good case of 'Good Cop Bad Cop'... nicely done ... different treatment..... to tell the truth, i thought that Dicaprio was the only one who was miscast... He is better suited for the soft porn movies!  |
