City Center is still repairing their ACs and they are not even sure when the theatres would open again!!! I watched it at Mall ... but they seemed to have cut many scenes  |

well...i finally managed to get myself up to watch it..and I must say, It was worth it. thoroughly enjoyable, well directed i thought, the fight scenes were gory but what else should one expect? and as far as i could see, I don't get what the Iranians are so worked up about. it's just a movie, get over it.
oh yeah...the capes and underwear were unsettling, but nowhere near as atrocious as what Xerxes was wearing.. lord of the world?... global gay warlord, more like. the guys at home center might enjoy watchin him ;D
for me, highlight of the movie had to be Azam Ali's vocals...wonderfully chilling and melodic.

Are you serious?  300 a good movie? Get out of here! Most overrated piece of crap I have seen. The movie has a shitty storyline that was very predictable, and the only good thing were a few of the battle scenes which get repetitive after a while. I do agree however that the Iranians are overreacting. |

for those ranting on about inaccuracy and negative depiction of the Persians etc and so on...having watched the movie, i don't think being historically accurate was ever high on the filmmakers priority list..else there wou;dn't have been the deformed hunchback, an executioner with blades for hands and so on. the film has good entertainment value, and in the end, i think that's what matters.
and btw, i didn't know the ancient Persian armies used elephants

It was supposed to be the whole of Asia against the Spartans. I'm not sure the indian subcontinent was part of ancient Persia..but then, like I said, this movie isn't so much about accuracy |

I think we didn't really go for history lessons when we went to watch the movie ... It's just a movie to entertain.
If it was accuracy, we would read history books .... even then history is usually biased.

Yep both Sin City and 300 comic books were written and drawn from Frank Miller, and both movies are quite true to the books (but Rodriguez, with Miller's agreement and help mixed several independent books into his movies).

Well even as a piece of history this movie fails because of a lot of distorted facts, entertainment wise it also sucked, I would have had more fun playing GTA. |
