Doha Tribeca Film Festival

As I like films, I am supporting whatever film festival is brought here in Doha. DTFF have released their lineup of movies so check out their website ...my linking skills are off so you better google them up ;D and what the hell why do you need this place to link you there?!

I suggest that if you are desperate to see movies other than the usual ones screened here, you get your tickets in advance, make your schedule and save your whinning for another day. getting your ticket the day itself might cause extra varicose veins if your legs are delicate.

There will be the usual air of "official official busy bee" volunteers and staff walking around and talking to themselves wearing their headphones or screaming : "DO YOU HAVE TICKETS!?"so we can all establish the seriousness and exclusivity of this event! An effort has to be made to arouse the curiousity of those outside the line who have no idea why all of a sudden watching a movie is such a pain in the A!

so pick your films and see you then!there!

And if some staff tell you the seats are reserved for officials or whatever...please dont be a douche and create unnecessary drama insisting you be seated there. unless you are a septuagenarian at least or in a wheelchair, you dont get dibs! first come first serve! seats!

TICKETS ARE OUT FOR DTFF!

they have a website that has all the information you'll need to see whichever movie you want, and there's a lot of movies to see so it would really help if you check out their website first so you don't hold up the queue while you're trying to decide which movie to see and where, and discounts and stuff.

Among the venues that we know of are City Center, Villagio and Four Seasons.

If you are watching 12 or more movies during the festival, you'll get a discount if you buy their "badge" to qualify you for that discount. We're only watching 9 movies so i didnt really bother finding out how that works, so gooooooooooooooo to their website!

Make sure that when you pick a succession of movies you have enough time to go from one venue to another, you might have to drive from city center all the way to villagio so make sure you have enough time to go nuts looking for a parking space!

and again, dont be a douche inside the theater. THERE ARE RESERVED SEATS for press or other VIP that they have designated, i know there's a lot of us here who are self-proclaimed VIPs, but i hate unnecessary drama in public, it makes me cringe to no end to watch it so, bring extra manners, thank you!
