It's the change of season, sort of, so what's in clothes shops in Doha these days?
The plaid is resurrected from the 90s! While the plaid shirt thrived in the 90s during the grunge music scene, this time the trend is started by the.......gasp!...........jonas brothers!hahaha! seriously, i saw them flouncing around with it first along with their virginity rings even before i noticed them in runways. Actually, the plaid looks acceptable among teenage girls with their narrow shoulders and not yet developed boobage potentials - paired with their super skinny legs in their super skinny yeast infection-inducing skinny jeans ...it's not atrocious enough to warrant a shank eye. However, for big-boobied female adults......it reminds me so much of paul bunyan....or if eddie vedder is a girl.
The maxi dress is still around. Mango and Zara has a decent selection. As maxi dresses go in other parts of the world, it will leave your shoulders and a hefty amount of your cleavage exposed.......if i do venture out again in a dress in this weather, i think i will wear it with an ipod. yes my ipod...so i can drown the sound: haram! while i am running towards my getaway car.
riddle me this batman......why can a blonde woman (or someone with lighter features) go out in public wearing what would be considered here skimpy clothes i.e. sleeveless shirts, mini skirts (usually paired with high heels) short shorts, and no one.......NO ONE.....dares breathe a side comment.....whereas if an asian woman does it, people makea fuss? do petite asian features immediately skankify the dresses? is there a light in the sky that lights up, spells the word whore then changes to an arrow and points at her when she goes out to wear the same dress? i mean if it's a matter of exposed skin ratio per square meters, petite ones are not exposing as much as the tall ones, so what's up with that?
and someone have a serious talk with the buyers for Topshop and H&M because their collection and store is a mess.
thank you very much,
Bittermuch
