even if you dont like movies, even if you dont like these futuristic shenanigans, you still should see the film. when this film was being talked about over the past years, i bypassed it like the plague...it sounded like pocahontas, like dances with....giant smurfs...and that's that!
but maaaaan, you gotta give credit where the credit's due. this movie just pushed the bar for special effects. story and most characters are meh, but attention to details is awesome, and imagination for creating a different world is just fantastic....and the fight and chase scenes...i can almost hear bruckheimer salivating. imax and 3d well worth the experience...only downer is the 3d glasses....they were effing huge, it's like a mask. i had to make it a half headband and half eyeglass to get comfy with it...it was made for shrek. I just tapped into my inner fiona and enjoyed the movie.
with the rate of revenues it is now generating, it just might help revive the world economy. so go and do your share...go watch if you havent yet ;D

OK I LOVED this movie. And for all the reasons Bully wrote up here. OK so the story line is well... America ruins but subsequently saves the world, and so on, and you know what's gonna happen in the end after about 5 minutes, but it was awesome nevertheless. I am SO watching it again. Hate 3D though, those glasses are a nightmare, so will probably be flatscreen for me, don't think the movie will lose any of its appeal. The only major disappointment is the small role of Rodrigues - I really like her and I think she deserved to be kept alive at least to see the result of the fight! And then die from extensive injuries and join Grace in Eiva.

I think the Colonel was my favorite character. If it gets that hard to kill you, then you're an awesome movie character.
