If you've read the book, just stay away from this one.
it was more fun to watch a bag of cornstarch. granted it is a rarity to be able to translate a book into a good movie, this movie just upped the ante of fail on that category. reading the book was good because of the excitement of the chase and discovery; however, if millions of people have already read the book and know the mystery, it seemed pointless to appear to try very hard to make it exciting with a heavy hand of suspense music....but at least the symphony conductor saw more action.
it was awful, the actors were bad...yes no exception. the script was bad - they were trying to get soundbites out of the book and it just couldnt translate into the movie. even attempts at humor fell flat. the only good thing about it is at least they trimmed tom hanks hair in this one. still it was awful. im no big fan of priests but this movie made them even more cartoonish. this movie reminded me of godzilla, i dont kno why...it's like both are supersized orders of WTF with cherry on top.

... Sounds delicious. I am guessing that I will wait till the DVD is out to check it.
Speaking of another garbage sandwich, has anyone made the mistake of watching Wolverine Origins yet?
