I'm curious if anyone else here has watched any of the 2 seasons of Big Love? I have made it through both seasons and am impatiently waiting for the next. **Snake-- I seriously suggest you watch this.** It's creepy how on-key they are with Utah culture... even if polygamy isn't part of the current Mormon religion, they incorporate current practices in the creepiest ways. Like when Bill, the husband, is making love to Nikki, one of the wives, he is singing a loving, religious song to her.
"Jesus wants you for a sunbeam, to shine for him each day. And in every way try to please him, at home, at school, at play."
The creepiest part of that isn't clear unless you grew up in the religion-- that song is sang by the youngest children in primary class.

Snake, because you lived in Utah, of course. There are things about that show someone would NOT understand unless they have lived there... or are well-versed in utahn peculiarities. Sometimes I hate Nikki, sometime I hate Barb. I don't think I've ever had negative feelings toward Margene-- she's always so innocent, but she's bound to plot some evil scheme next season. Mostly, I feel an affinity toward them all. I can see myself in each! I met a guy on the train from Arizona to Louisiana that asked if Big Love was really Mormon culture. Of course, it's not, and we discussed what it really is like. And then after hearing each others' life stories (me bragging about my sewing and cooking skills) he told me I would make a GREAT sister-wife. I was so proud! hahaha.

maybe the dog started it! Yup, seduced him or something. Not abused. Trust the lawmakers and the media to twist everything around!
