The new trick on the block is to mix two (or more) songs together to make a new one. There are competitions for the best mash-up apparently. One of the results caught my eye (and ear) - it's a combination of Chicane's "Saltwater" and Natasha Bedingfield's "I bruise easily". I think it came out quite nice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-PiDgAQ838

Oh and of course DJ Zebra is a french dj/musician who is arguably the most renowned for his mashups. there are others on his website, but often with at least one french band inside.

I heard a new mash-up at the pool parlour today. I think it was Madonna and Usher, although I can't be sure now. I DO remember thinking that the old man who runs the place needs to check his stereo at the time.
