heard babel's real good, aside from best pic, heard the cinematrography is great as well but it's not nominated in that category. apocalypto has good cinematography too i heard but i suppose the violence n gore put off the critics - should be a good contender for best makeup at least

Babel is awesome, even though the ending is a bit stale.... Cate Blanchett is her usual gorgeous self..she makes something as mundane as sipping a can of coke, look so glamorous and exquisite ;D been working on a review for it, hope to post it over the weekend

Babel is no Crash so if they're thinking of awarding an ensemble film Little Miss Sunshine is a better choice. Iwo Jima won best foreign language at the Golden Globes so I'm confused why it's been nominated as best picture. It's time for Martin Scorsese to win or he'll definitely kill himself. So give the best picture to Iwo Jima and best director to Scorsese. Ryan Gosling in Half Nelson is priceless and should win several times over. The rest of the noms in the other categories can just flip a coin. =)
