I have Kenny Rogers dueting with Sheena Easton right now.
The next song on the playlist is Van Morrisson, followed by Elton John, then Bob Seger, Dan Hill, Andrea Bocelli and Mr Big, in that order. Some early Jamiroquai tracks were playing before, with Dynamite and Devil Car coming on later in the playlist. Jamie Cullum too.

Coma, there is that thing called sell-by date, for pretty much everything. Including goth makeup. Or maybe it's just that I am old??

Haha you prefer a bee with a tennis racket? Does that mean that there is a fellow tennis lover on this forum? Oh no, that would be too much to hope for.

Woo hoo! Well I don't really hit around, I just watch it. In fact, at the moment hoping Murray would kick Ivan's ass - but doesn't look like it.

I can't stand Federer. Hey lets not hijack this thread at least - music is important. We'll blah about tennis elsewhere ;D
Billy Idol is now replaced by Shakira. Can't help it - I love her.

Noir Desir, great french rock band. Now disbanded due to a several years trip to jail for their leader (a very ugly story)

Gosh! French rap?! There used to be one or two good things years ago, but I didn't find something interesting for a long time. French rap tries to imitate US rap, but in the french way: french flow (which isn't exactly as fluid as english, in most cases), french cars, and french hookers (well, as for hookers, there are not so much differences ).

Just started listening to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. It's a concept album, which brings comparisons to Green Day's Americain Idiot record (and also produced by Rob Cavallo, the guy who produced the Green Day record), whcih basically tells the story of a man who dies in the cancer ward, and it flashes his life's memories before his life ends.
It's quite a piece of work, and My Chemical Romance may be the next band to "make the leap" from critical fave to mainstream star.

I was listening to My Chemical Romance two days ago and was intrigued. I figured it wouldn't be long till they sold out though.

Re: MCR selling out - I don't think they did. It's funny how the "original fans" always cry sellout when a band makes a more accesible sound, even if it is a choice about the music as opposed to a choice about being more commercially viable. Again, the album is still dark and twisted, a musical tragedy. It's still definately not the stuff preppy kids and surfer dudes will listen to.
I heard that Bob Rock produced the Hip's new album? If anything, I'd say this is a band that may sell out. The Hip have never made it anywhere outside of Canada, and really can't get an audience no matter what they've tried. After years of the same, I truly wonder if they're just a bar band trying to do stadium rock.
