I loved this movie. I'm a big Johnny Cash fan and I thought Joaquin Phoneix did an amazing job playing the man in black. Reese Witherspoon did a good job too, but she was no Joaquin.
I can't get over what a love story these two had. Obviously no one ever told June Carter to stay away from assholes, cause she picked the biggest one around, luckily he was smooth and charming enough to make you not hate him.

Lovely movie review, Midge.
I really liked this movie, the acting was superb. It is a story of a famous American singer Johnny Cash, his life and his music. I loved the fact that the actors sang everything themselves after some voice coaching. They rocked!
And that June chick, she was the best thing that happened to Cash.

Cash was hot. Gotta love the bad boys. I want to tame a bad boy. ;D

Great film...and I was dead impressed with J Phoenix's singing which seemed to get better as the movie went on.
I also watched 'The Pink Panther' recently, and I didn't laugh once. Steve Martin is usually funny, but sometimes it's better to leave well enough alone.
I'm sure I laughed a lot at the original Peter Sellers movies.
